Development Secretary

Job Responsibilities

As a development secretary, you will drive the organization’s work forward and actively contribute to the section's improvement efforts. You will develop, ensure quality, and follow up on activities and processes within the operational area. The assignment may include both clearly defined areas of responsibility and special tasks that may vary over time.

You will work strategically and operationally, focusing on goals and results, to strengthen quality, coordination, and long-term sustainability in the organization’s mission. In this role, you will analyze the environment, data, and decisions and contribute to creating sustainable structures and working methods through planning, implementation, and follow-up of initiatives.

The work also involves collaboration with other functions where you identify needs and work solution-oriented. The tasks also include reporting, writing statements, responding to referrals, and performing various administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic degree equivalent to a bachelor's degree (180 credits) with a focus relevant to the operational area, such as social sciences, political science, or public administration, or other education deemed relevant by the employer. You have at least two years of experience in the operational area, and it is an advantage if you have experience working in public operations and development work within the public sector.

You have a good ability to analyze complex information and translate it into practice, work in a structured and independent manner, and have good project management or coordination skills. You are digitally competent and have excellent communication skills in both spoken and written forms.

It is advantageous if you have experience in quality work, process development, or change management, as well as in developing governing documents or policy frameworks.

You enjoy collaborating broadly within the organization, can switch between strategic and operational levels, and possess integrity and a professional approach.

About the Workplace

We are looking for a development secretary for the newly established section of administration and support who wants to contribute to the section's development and improvement work regarding support processes. The section is part of the Department of Support and Development and is responsible for the administration of the department's decided processes and governing documents, coordination of municipal grants, operational responsibility for various decided processes in the administration, personnel and financial administration, as well as handling incoming matters. This involves receiving, distributing, and responding to matters, as well as working with NTA administration.

The work involves both independent responsibility and close, everyday collaboration with the section manager and other internal and external actors. You will also represent the section in relevant forums, which requires attentiveness, a constructive working method, and a courteous approach.
